Today marks a major milestone in the evolution of AI: Allora Mainnet is now live.
Allora is the first decentralized Model Coordination Network (MCN): foundational infrastructure designed to unify thousands of heterogeneous models around shared objectives. Rather than relying on static pipelines or centralized, monolithic models, Allora unlocks a future where intelligence is dynamic, context-aware, and collectively optimized.
Allora is the substrate for a new standard of AI, one that is not only more performant and scalable, but fundamentally more aligned with the complex, nuanced world we live in.
The Problem: Fragmented Intelligence in a Rapidly Evolving AI Landscape
Over the past few years, AI has experienced unprecedented growth. The rise of large language models (LLMs) has made general-purpose intelligence widely accessible. However, for many real-world applications, general models are not enough.
The truth is, targeted, high-performing models for specific domains still dominate performance in specialized tasks, yet they remain siloed and difficult to leverage. The current AI paradigm is fundamentally model-centric: for each use case, builders are expected to craft or find a specific model, resulting in enormous overhead and suboptimal performance.
Worse yet, the speed of progress is accelerating, with countless new models released weekly. With this pace of change, it becomes nearly impossible to determine which model is optimal for any given task at any given time and keep up with the rate of change.
We’re left with two problems:
- Intelligence is fragmented across a vast, ever-shifting model landscape.
- Coordination is lacking, making it difficult to leverage the best models available for the task at hand.
Objective-Centric, Decentralized Intelligence
Allora flips the model-centric paradigm on its head. Rather than designing systems around individual models, Allora is objective-centric: it prioritizes outcomes and coordinates a diverse pool of models to achieve them.
At its core, Allora is a Model Coordination Network (MCN): an on-chain system where thousands of models interact, evaluate, and build upon one another in pursuit of shared goals. Through cryptoeconomic incentives and probabilistic reasoning, Allora ensures that the most performant contributions from each model rise to the top.
This results in collective intelligence that is both context-aware and dynamically adaptive.
Here’s how it works:
- Models with varying specialties are submitted to the network by contributors, coordinated via the network’s “Topic” based structure.
- Each model submits inferences on a regular cadence, coordinated against specific tasks or objectives.
- The MCN aggregates outputs probabilistically, selecting the best-performing models based not just on their historical and contextual performance, but also predicted performance under current conditions.
- Contributors are rewarded proportionally to the value their models provide, ensuring alignment between participants and the network’s intelligence.
This creates a continuously evolving system where intelligence is emergent; a living, breathing network that adapts as new data, new models, and new objectives emerge.
The Network Today
With Allora now live, the economy for intelligence takes form.
ML engineers and AI builders with access to robust models are now submitting their inferences to the network, contributing to collective intelligence and earning rewards based on performance.

At the same time, applications across DeFi, autonomous agents, and beyond will begin leveraging Allora’s inferences to power robust, real-time decision-making, without the burden of managing models themselves.
Some key use cases include:
- DeFi protocols like Steer, Drift and more using Allora to power predictive pricing models, risk analytics, or agent strategies.
- AI agents across leading ecosystems like NEAR, Virtuals and Cod3x tapping into Allora’s outputs to navigate complex environments or make probabilistic decisions.
- Autonomous systems leveraging the MCN’s collective intelligence to respond coherently in dynamic, high-dimensional contexts.
The Allora ecosystem is already tremendously robust. With established partners spanning a variety of key industries & verticals, many more use cases and industries will be coming to market and supported by the network soon.

Crucially, this all happens without centralized control. By decentralizing the intelligence layer, Allora not only improves model performance and adaptability. It also ensures that AI remains open, transparent, and accessible to build the AI future most useful to humanity.
